Renegade - 15w
The Renegade is a mid range US style amp, gives beautifully warm clean tones with a generous amount of head room. This is a pretty loud 15w, powered by 2 x 6V6 valves. The smooth overdrive naturally comes in as you take the volume control past 6 and from then on you can blend your guitar output and the volume control to achieve the drive you desire. Very suited to studio and home and practice use. You may struggle to keep up with a drummer unless mic'd up. Buckets of reverb for you to play with and a really great platform for your favorite pedals.
The amp is very responsive to pick attack and so enables you to be in full control of how you play.
The pre-amp section contains a single ECC83 initial gain stage followed by the classic Fender blackface tone stack arrangement with treble, bass and mid controls. The phase inverter is a long tailed pair so that we get an extra gain stage before the power section.
The reverb is valve driven spring reverb.
Hi and Low inputs give the flexibility to use different pick ups and vary the amount of drive you want.
A Jenson Alnico 12" speaker is fitted as standard, but you can chose which type of speaker you prefer.
Like all our amplifiers, The Renegade is hand wired and so is an amp for life. It is easily maintained and any modifications that may be required in the future can easily be accommodated.
We also offer the service of adjusting the 'voice' of the amp to suit your ear once you have played it for a month or so. Certain aspects of the circuit can be altered to give you more clean head room, more drive, or adjust your tone. We are happy to work with you to achieve the best out of your amp.

Below is a sound bite of the 15w Renegade being used both for a bit of rhythm and a bit of lead. Our friend Ian Stone (from Bootleg Floyd) very kindly demoed on the clip showing what he can do with just volume controls on his guitar and volume controls on the Renegade. Absolutely no pedals or recording effects were used so that you can get the real raw sound of the amp. Recorded using a Behringer B906 Condenser mic and a Sure SM57, Scarlett 2i2 interface and Garage band.
